Transition

Ah... the time has finally come.

Five years of saving for it.

Two years of wondering if I could really give up film

And two weeks of a new digital world.

I have left film behind and have joined the age of today!

I am very excited for you. A whole new world is developing right before your very eyes :) Hey, the link to you photo site doesn't work. I am doing something wrong?

Try it again, I have had trouble hyperlinking things before...

Yay! What did you get? Do you love it? I couldn't believe how much I loved it when I switched. Of course, now I spend an hour taking pictures and five hours on the computer, touching them up, but I think that's part of the love of it all. Your pictures are beautiful. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Thanks sister! Canon 30D, shooting right now with the 28-135 IS 3.5-5.6 lens and love it. I am still not used to the "touching up" on the computer part. I feel like if I photoshop it, it's not really artistic anymore.

I need to get over it, I know.

You really do need to get over it because what I have realized is that the only way you can get that amazingly colorful, sharp look that used to come automatically with film is by touching up the digital. It just makes things even. It's totally artistic.
